James Premo Steffen was born April 3, 1953, at San Francisco, California, and passed away peacefully on Aug. 2, 2021, at Hickory Creek of Crawfordsville.

He leaves behind his six children, Tom Barela, Elena Barela (William), Felice Steffen, Jennifer Douglas (Steven), Stephanie Catterson and Jamie Steffen; and 16 grandchildren, Prema, Deven, Hailey, Izak, T.J., Addison, Selena Austin, Destiny, Bailey, Skylar, Malachi, Jayden, Kerstin, Ayvah and Patience.

He is preceded in death by his brothers and also the mother of his children.
