Mikel L. Thompson, 52, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly at 9:51 a.m. EDT Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 3, 1969, at Crawfordsville, the son Nancy (Vance) Sudduth and Milford L. Thompson.

Survivors include: his children, Taylor Thompson of Crawfordsville, Mikel L. Thompson of Russellville, Arkansas and Chase Spink of Brazil, Indiana; his mother, Nancy (Dean) Sudduth of Perrysville; five sisters, Ruth Thompson of Crawfordsville, Michelle (Bill) Jackman of Perrysville, Stacy Redman and Chelsey Thompson, both of Crawfordsville, and Keyshia Thomas of Oklahoma; two brothers, Rob Thompson of Waynetown and Terry Thompson of Crawfordsville; step-sister Amber (Bill) Carrigan of Fowler; two step-brothers, Aaron (Meredith) Sudduth of Greenwood and Jeremy Akin of Lizton; special friend Sara Rabb of Brazil, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Milford L. Thompson.

Mikel formerly worked at PPG in Brazil. He enjoyed raising horses, fishing and playing video games.

Services will be at 3 p.m. EDT Wednesday, Aug. 18 at DeVerter Funeral Home, Cayuga, with Jack Bowling officiating. Burial will be at Lower Mound Cemetery, north of Perrysville. Friends may call 1 p.m. EDT Wednesday, Aug. 18 until time of services.
