Janet Ann (McGee) Pell, 87, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away on August 20, 2021.

Janet was born in Brazil, Indiana on April 7, 1934, the daughter of Louis and Virginia (Morrison) McGee. She graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1952. On November 20, 1954, Janet married the love of her life Harry “Si” Pell. They spent 60 years together raising their children on their family farm. They were members of the First Presbyterian Church in Brazil.

Janet and Si enjoyed annual vacations with family and friends traveling to Florida, Canada, and several other destinations. Janet also enjoyed playing tennis and spent several active years on the court. She was a natural in the kitchen and was well known for her incredible chocolate pies. She loved children and spent many years volunteering in the school system. Above all, Janet beamed with love and pride of her six Grandchildren.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Virginia McGee and her husband of 60 years Harry “Si” Pell.

She is survived by her children: David Pell and wife Jamie of Brazil, Ken Pell of Seelyville, Larry Pell and wife Julie of Monticello, Angie Jacoby of Brazil, and Pam Pell of Terre Haute; grandchildren: Chandler Potter and husband Broc, Paiton Pell and wife Ashley, Tobin Pell, Hadley Pell, Cooper Pell, and Brynn Jacoby; a brother Bill McGee of Delaware; two sisters: Nancy Cross of Terre Haute and Cindy Robinson and husband Dwight of Paris, Illinois as well as many extended family members.
The Pell family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful caregivers that pampered and loved Janet to her final day.

Private graveside services will be held at Calcutta Cemetery.
