Marjorie Lee Grimes

JANUARY 22, 1933 – SEPTEMBER 19, 2021

Marjorie Lee Grimes, 88, of Greencastle passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Mill Pond Health Campus.

Marjorie was born in Putnam County on January 22, 1933, the daughter of Gilbert Edgar and Ruth Edna (Harris) Pettit.

Mrs. Grimes worked for Mallory’s, KFC, and Charlie Brown’s Barbeque, where she worked 16 years before her retirement.

Survivors include her five children, Constance Brown, Rebecca Bond, (Rodney), Debra Wood, David Grimes, and Martha Knoebel, (James); a sister, Judy Campbell, (James); eight grandsons; a granddaughter; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merl Grimes; three sister, Betty Jean Rainbold, Carol Sutherlin, and Barbara Alexander; two sons-in-law; and a daughter-in-law.

At her request a cremation will take place at a later date.
