Evelyn Irene Hensley-Williams, 94, of Ladoga, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, at home surrounded by her family. Evelyn was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on Nov. 4, 1927, to the late Lewis and Suzie Hensley. She married her love of her life, John E. Williams from Kentucky, on Dec. 28, 1945, and together they had seven boys and seven girls.

Evelyn loved going to watch her children and grandchildren play sports and sitting on her front porch surrounded by her beautiful flowers, but most of all she just enjoyed spending time with all her family!

Evelyn is survived by her children; Sue (Max) Woodall of Crawfordsville, Barbara (Jim) Carpenter of Ladoga, Roger Williams of Ladoga, Bonnie (Greg) Wray of Ladoga, Kenny (Mary) Williams of Oregon, Brenda (Barry) Lighty of Crawfordsville, David (Patty) Williams of Lodoga, Robert (Nikki) Williams of Crawfordsville, Gerald (Linda) of Crawfordsville, Mark (Tammy) Williams of Crawfordsville, Joey (Becky) Williams of Florida, Kim (Nate) Rice of New Ross, Jonna (Travis) Davis of Ladoga; 42 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John; daughter, Gale (Gary) Gibson; and her siblings, Flo, Lee, E.B., Maude, Norm, June, Bruce, Mildred, and Keith.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, at Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene, 117 E. S.R. 234 Ladoga, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the church with visitation starting at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Ladoga Cemetery.
