James ‘Jim’ Richard Hutchins

Sept. 15, 1949-Feb. 17, 2021

James “Jim” Richard Hutchins passed away on Feb. 17, 2021, in the emergency room of St. Francis Hospital, Litchfield, Illinois, of acute respiratory failure.

Jim was born Sept. 15, 1949, at Crawfordsville, to Richard J. and Virginia Kerr Hutchins. He grew up in Roachdale, Indiana, graduating from Roachdale High School in 1967. Jim graduated from Indiana State University in 1971, then was very happy to work for many years in piano and organ sales in Lafayette, Indiana, and Michigan.

Jim was married to Carol Fanetti on April 24, 1993, and resided in their home at Mt. Olive, Illinois, until his death. Carol passed away Aug. 4, 2021.

Jim is survived by one cousin, Helen Millikin of Rockford, Illinois, and one brother, Joe Hutchins of Crawfordsville.

There were no services held and cremation was chosen by both with ashes scattered on the family lot in Illinois. Becker and Son Funeral Home at Mt. Olive was in charge of arrangements.
