Patricia Ann Wills

Patricia Ann Wills, 89, of Crawfordsville, passed away Oct. 17, 2021, at IU Methodist Indianapolis.

She was born March 8, 1932, in Warren County, Indiana, to the late Samuel and Helen (Rhodes) Pearson.

Patricia graduated from Danville School of Nursing where the local doctor paid her tuition for two years which cost $287. She worked in the OB/GYN department at Culver Union Hospital and then retired from Ladoga Nursing Home where she was the Director of Nursing.

On Jan. 8, 1956, she married the love of her life, Richard Max Wills. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in January before his passing on Aug. 25.

She attended Young’s Chapel Christian Church. Patricia and her son, Jim published a book together which is a murder mystery. Patricia was an artist that enjoyed drawing and she had her own line of greeting and Christmas cards. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and studying the Bible and loved to work in her garden and flower beds.

Patricia is survived by her son, Jim Wills of Crawfordsville; a special niece, Debi Wills of Branson, Missouri; brother Don (Jane) Pearson; sister-in-law Nancy Pearson; and several other nieces and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard; two daughters, Rebecca Lea and Beverly Kay; and three brothers, Dick Pearson, Merle Pearson and Bob Pearson.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021 from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m., with Pastor Gary Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
