Andrew ‘Andy’ Sutton

Andrew Sutton of Crawfordsville passed away Friday morning, Nov. 5, 2021, after fighting a battle with cancer. He was 45.

Andy was a people person who liked socializing and having a good time. He was a member of the Eagles and also liked going to Francis and Mount. He worked at Acuity Brands Lighting for 24 years, starting in 1997. He was a fan of IU and the Cubs. He also liked to play golf. Most of all, he loved his family very much.

Born July 29, 1976, at Greencastle, he was the son of Larry Sutton and Ralene Sutton. He graduated from North Putnam High School in 1994. He married Rebecca “Becky” Layton and she survives.

Surviving family includes: wife Rebecca Sutton of Crawfordsville; daughter Madison Sutton; brother Eric Sutton; two sisters, Julie (Stan) Hayes and Dena (Craig) Simmons; mother-in-law Linda Layton; father-in-law Don Layton; brother-in-law Eric Layton; three nieces, Megan and Macey Simmons and Laken Miller; nephew Brandon Chitwood; as well as many, many friends, co-workers and people he cared about that cared about him.

A memorial visitation will be held 2-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11 at Burkhart Funeral Home. It will conclude with a short prayer service at 6 p.m.
