Mary Lou Myers

November 26, 1929 - December 6, 2021

Mary Lou (Rollings) Myers, 92, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away at Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care on December 6, 2021.

Mary Lou was born on November 26, 1929, in Harmony, Indiana, the daughter of Benjamin and Myra (Whittington) Rollings. She graduated from Van Buren High School with the class of 1947. She married Daniel Myers on October 30, 1948; he preceded her in death in 2012. Mary Lou and Dan raised two children: Karen and Gregory. After they had graduated high school Mary Lou worked for her brother’s real estate company, Rollings Real Estate, for a few years. She was very active in her church and taught children's classes for may years. Later, she enjoyed staying up-to-date with the news and bird watching.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Myra Rollings; her husband Daniel Myers; a granddaughter Laura Purdy; and 4 brothers: Curtis Rollings, David Rollings, Stanley Rollings, and Roy Rollings.

She leaves behind her two children: Karen Purdy of Brownsburg, Indiana and Gregory Myers and wife Gertrude of Covington, Louisiana; grandchildren: Ben Purdy (Kaci), Andy Purdy (Lisa), Nick Purdy (Ann), Daniel Purdy (Emily Wrinkle); Jason Myers (Aimee), and Adrienne Myers; great-grandchildren: Chase, Lexi, Jordan, Caleb, Gabe, Isaac, Adelyn, Danielle, Alexa, Skylar, Jeffrey, Wesley, Brantley; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 11 AM to 1 PM. Services will be at the funeral home, on Thursday, at 1 PM with Pastor Jason Selby officiating. Burial will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery.
