Pat Moore

August 13, 1933 - December 19, 2021

Patricia “Pat” E. Moore, 88, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 at her residence in Clay City, Indiana. Pat was born to the late Coy and Marie (Dreistadt) Cooprider on August 13, 1933.
Pat graduated from Clay City High School. Pat was the owner and operator of Moore’s Grocery, greenhouse, bait shop, and restaurant for many years with her husband Hubert Moore, who preceded her in death in 1982. She loved to spend time outside, and most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Pat was a member of the Clay City Church of Christ for many years. She loved to attend any local fish fry with her friend Sue.
Pat is preceded in death by her siblings, Don Cooprider, Helen Schepper, Dorothy Seymour, Sue Johnson, Web Cooprider, and Charles Cooprider, granddaughters, Elizabeth Kouns, and Kendra Allen.
Pat is survived by her children, Marilyn Morris, Nancy Howald (Rod), Gary Moore (Donetta), Sandra Allen (Doug), grandchildren, Maria (Eric), Destiny (Matt), Whitney (Ethan), Brandi (Tanner), Nicole (Jeremiah), Kayleigh and Nicholas, and many great grandchildren, siblings, Homer Cooprider, and Willie Heaton (Don).
A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 22nd at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home 301 E. 8th Street in Clay City from 11-1. A funeral service will begin at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
