Linda L. Jeffries

Linda L. Jeffries, 80, of Ladoga went to her heavenly home on the morning of Monday, Dec. 20, 2021.

She was born April 23, 1941, at Crawfordsville, to the late Chester and Dorothy Vice. She married Phillip W. Jeffries at the New Ross Christian Church on July 27, 1962. He survives.

Linda graduated from Ladoga High School in 1959 and went on to attend Central Beauty College. She started her working career as a beautician, then she began doing secretarial work for the Indiana Christian Children’s Home and retired from the State of Indiana Department of Transportation. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Ladoga Christian Church and the Ladoga Bunco Club. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and will be greatly missed by many.

Left to cherish Linda’s memory are her husband; three daughters, Sheila (Steve) Sharp, Marcia (Justin) Vogel and Elizabeth Jeffries; four grandchildren, Nicholas Sharp, Benjamin Sharp, Jacob Vogel and Abigail Vogel; siblings, June (Frank) Cating and David (Jan) Vice; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be at noon Thursday, Dec. 23 at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home, 203 N. Washington St., Ladoga. Burial will follow in Ladoga Cemetery. Friends and family are invited for a time of visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Linda’s memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
