Jan Curtis

January 20, 1958 - December 25, 2021

Janice Curtis, 63, passed away December 25, 2021 at home. Janice was born to the late Franklin and Dorothy (Bender) Ruth in New Brighton, Pennsylvania.
Jan married Raymond Curtis Jr. on June 18, 1981. She attended Clay City Assembly of God where she served as part of the worship team. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going on road trips. She always enjoyed going to a Pirates game every year. Jan worked as a Lead Care Partner at Bethesda Gardens, where she retired after 20 years.
Jan is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Curtis Jr., parents Franklin and Dorothy Ruth, brothers, Jack Ruth and Jim Ruth, son in law Charles Basham, and grandsons, Clint Curtis, TJ Cates, and Robert Curtis.
Survivors include children, Jimmy (Amy) Curtis, Jana Basham, Shannon Curtis, stepchildren Kenneth Curtis, Leota (Jerry) Kinder, Karen (Doug) Shepler, Rodney (Tammy) Curtis, grandchildren, Chad Keller, Dallas and Coleton Fry, Daylan, Callie, Ellie, Evie, and Emerie Curtis, Georgia (Jerick) Hayden, Madison Hyer, Scott Curtis, Jamie Weaver, April Curtis, Carolyn Dowell, Justin Kinder, Carrie Curtis, Christina Shaw, Alicia Curtis, Cody Curtis, great grandchildren, Brentley and Avian Royer, Raylee Hayden, Raylan Hyer, Jaxson Keller, Jasper Landrum, Skylar Baros, also one nephew Jimmy Ruth of Pennsylvania, and sister in law Priscilla Ruth. Jan is also survived by her four-legged child, Alaska.
A visitation will be held Thursday, December 30th from 11-1 at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 East Eighth Street in Clay City. A funeral service will begin at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
