Ruth E. Reynolds

April 30, 1938 - January 9, 2022

Ruth E. Reynolds, 83 of Brazil, passed away January 9, 2022, at 11:56am at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. She was born April 30, 1938, in Clay County, the daughter of John Fulk, Sr. and Hester Lints Fulk. She attended Ashboro High School.
August 8, 1956, Ruth was united in marriage to Joseph J. Reynolds, Sr. He preceded her in death in 1999. She worked for many years for Glas-Col, Lab Supplies.
Ruth enjoyed crocheting, knitting, embroidery work and crafting. She also like to do puzzles and watching old western shows. Some of her favorite time was spent traveling with family to the western United States and to the beaches in Florida. She and her husband were “snowbirds” for several years for winters in Florida.
Survivors include her children Ann Reynolds and Valerie Rost (Troy Pierce); grandchildren, Lindsey Barr (Garrett), Michael Rost, Brandon Rost, Elicia Reynolds, Joseph Reynolds III, Megan Reynolds, Stacia Reynolds, Josephine Reynolds, and Ana Reynolds; three great-grandchildren, Christabella, Lilia, and River; sisters, Ruby Barnett, and Margaret Fulk; two brothers, Joseph Fulk and Tom Fulk (Pam); many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; her son, Joseph J. Reynolds, Jr; siblings, George Fulk, John Fulk, Gladys Collins, Mary Ann Braden, Thelma Fulk, Ida Mae Martin, and Sadie Smith.
Services will be held on Thursday at 2:00pm at Lawson-Miller Chapel with Pastor David Felstein officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 12-2.
