Lois Carolyn Coverdale

Lois Carolyn Coverdale, 85, of Veedersburg passed away Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at Franciscan Health Crawfordville.
She was a retired seamstress for Steel-Grip in Kingman and Covington with many years of service. Earlier she was a cook for Southmont High School cafeteria.
She was born May 3, 1936, at Rosedale, to the late James Harold Keller and Nona Maye Miller Keller Spurr. Her husband of 64 years, Cliston Leon Coverdale, whom she married June 2, 1956, at Judson, preceded her in death April 2, 2021.
Survivors include: her children, Deborah (Dale) Linville of Kentland, Rodger (Susie) Coverdale of Monticello, Rebecca (Terry) Lovins of Port Charlotte, Florida and Rhonda Coverdale of Veedersburg; brother Richard Spurr of Maryland; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her step-father Lester Spurr and siblings, Thomas, Melvin and Kenneth Dean Spurr and Beverly Sue Harney.
She was a graduate of Marshall High School and Harold’s Beauty Academy in Terre Haute. She was a member of New Life Fellowship Church in Terre Haute. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, sewing and ceramics.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 281 N. Main St., Rosedale, with Pastor Everett Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation is from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home.
