Jody Kay Stonebraker, 63, of Kingman passed away Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at St. Vincent Indianapolis, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Oct. 25, 1958, to the late Ralph Rennick Jr. and Wandaline (Philpott) Gilliland. She was raised by her mother and step-father Derrell Gilliland. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.

 

Jody was a 1977 graduate of Fountain Central High School. She graduated from Ivy Tech Community College and worked as a LPN for a few years before staying home with her daughters. She then worked at the PolyClinic in Danville, Illinois before spending her last 30 years with Franciscan Health in Crawfordsville in multiple physician offices.

Jody was a loving and caring wife to Billy Stonebraker. They were married Sept. 15, 1978. He survives. She enjoyed watching IU basketball, spending time with her family, going to sporting events and taking care of everyone. You could always find her on the court or at the field cheering on her grandsons.

She was very proud of her two daughters who survive, Jennifer (Mitch) Murphy and Amanda Stonebraker. She was also Nana to her two precious grandchildren, Caden and Carter. She is also survived by her step-father Derrell; mother-in-law Ramona Stonebraker; sisters-in-law, Melody Rennick, Kandy (Bud) Peach, Cindy (Robert) Robinson and Holly (Brian) Peyton; along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends, including her good friend Linda (Jimmy) Janci.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Wandaline; brother Jerry Rennick; father-in-law Bill Stonebraker; and brother-in-law Teddy Stonebraker.

A private family service will be held at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S. First St., Kingman, on Monday, Feb. 7, 2022.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
