Donna Lee Short

September 17, 1942 - February 11, 2022

Donna Lee Short, 79, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, with her family by her side, while at IU Hospital in Avon.

Donna was born on September 17, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of Kenneth Earl and Mary Louella (Holman) Nale. In 1959 she married her high school sweetheart, Noel Short. Donna graduated from Salem High School with the class of 1960.

Donna enjoyed working on board games, sewing, painting, reading, traveling, and caring for her animals. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, attending their sporting events, and enjoying time together.

Donna is survived by her husband Noel Short; 3 children: Steve Short and wife Laura, Doug Short and wife Teri, Laurie Drake and husband Robert; grandchildren: Christopher Short and wife Nicole, Jason Short and wife Abbey, Jarrod Short and wife Taylor, Jacob Short and wife Jackie, Jack Short, Joe Short, Matthew Drake and Zachary Drake; great-grandchildren: Jackson, Sophie, Emmett, and Charlotte; a brother Kenneth Nale Jr.; her beloved pets Waldo, Pollyanna Rose, and Lucy.

She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Mary Nale.

Private services will be held at French Funeral Home.
