Marjorie Juanita Goodman

APRIL 10, 1930 – APRIL 14, 2022

Juanita Goodman, 92, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at her residence surrounded by family.

Juanita was born in Greencastle on April 10, 1930, the daughter of Marion and Iona (Williams) Tharp.

Mrs. Goodman was a member of the Hanna Street Baptist Church and she helped her husband with many projects during his membership with the Lions Club. Juanita worked as a Beautician for many years, and owned Curl and Swirl in Greencastle. She enjoyed square dancing and travel, but above all she loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her two children, Vickie Smith, (husband-Dan), and Larry Goodman, (wife-Carmen); eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, Marion “Midge” Goodman; two children, Lynn Winkler, and Gary Goodman; a brother Harry Tharp; and two sisters, Edna Roach, and Faye Fulkerson.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday April 20 2022, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Smith officiating. Burial will follow in New Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
