Janet Marie Martin, 79, of Rockville passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022, in her residence.
She retired from the Sears Catalogue Store in Rockville with many years of service. She was also employed by RR Donnelley and Sons in Crawfordsville.
She was born May 24, 1942, at Crawfordsville, to the late Homer Kinnamon and Mary Mullen Kinnamon. Her husband of 43 years, Robert W. Martin, whom she married April 21, 1962, at Crawfordsville, preceded her in death May 8, 2005.
Survivors include: daughter Sherri (Allan) Paxton of Rockville; son Gary (Marianne) Martin of Bloomingdale; sister-in-law Inace Kinnamon of Crawfordsville; five grandchildren, Amanda Martin, Katie (Tyler) DeReu, Jacob (Ashley) Martin, Joshua (Jamie) Martin and Jared Paxton; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brother David Kinnamon.
She attended Greene Township and Marshall schools and graduated from Turkey Run High School in 1960. She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with friends in her spare time.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 Howard St., Rockville, with Celebrant Marta K. Adubato officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery north of Hollandsburg. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday at Gooch Funeral Home.
