Marcia C Tesmer

JULY 5, 1944 – JUNE 1, 2022

Marcia Carol Tesmer, 77, of Greencastle, passed away on June 1, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Marcia was born in Indianapolis on July 5, 1944, the daughter of Herman and Doris (Cordray) Woods.

Mrs. Tesmer worked as a Property Manager at Precision Quality Contracting, a business that her children own. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for over 40 years, and was a founding member of Connections Community Church of Greencastle. Marcia has always been a caregiver. She was a self-taught physician, caring for her son, Paul, who had Down Syndrome for 49 and ½ years. She loved to be outdoors and was an avid walker, baker, and lover of nature. Marcia was a devout Christian, and loved devoting herself to the Lord and her family.

Survivors include her five children, Dave Tesmer, (Carla), Mark Tesmer, (Cathy), Tim Tesmer, (Kim), Matt Tesmer, (Crystal), and Joy Pershing, (Brian); three sisters, Kathy Lenihan, Donna Woods, and Pat French, (Leo); 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 56 years, Jerome “Jerry” Tesmer; two sons, Stephen Keith, and Paul Samuel Tesmer; a sister, Sue Kelsey, a brother Dan Woods, and a great-grandson, Daimon Pershing.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, at The StoreHouse Church, 605 Westlane Rd, Greencastle, IN 46135 with Pastor Tim Tesmer officiating. Burial will follow in Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at The StoreHouse Church and one hour prior to time of service at the church.
