Sandra Sue (Barnes) Land

Sandra Sue (Barnes) Land, 82, of Crawfordsville, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022, at home.

Sandra was born April 29, 1940, at Lebanon, to the late Frank and Pearl (Shoaf) Estelle.

She was also preceded in death by husband Walter Barnes; son Randy Barnes; daughter Toni Barnes; sister Betty Hardin; and brothers, Red Estelle and Larry Haffner.

Sandra (Susie) was a 1958 graduate of New Market High School. She was a long time employee of Indiana Bell Telephone Company in Crawfordsville, and also enjoyed working in retail. Susie loved to sew, and was a very accomplished seamstress. She also enjoyed shopping and refinishing furniture.

Survivors include her children, Brenda Taylor of Carmel, Becky Porter of Danville,  John (Amy) Barnes of Crawfordsville and Don (Kristine) Barnes of Thorntown; as well as 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Ernie Estelle and Pete Haffner of New Market.

Visitation will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, with a memorial service to follow at 5 p.m. at Thorntown Christian Church, 125 W. Main St., Thorntown, IN 46071.
