Betty J. Archer

March 5, 1930  -  July 13, 2022

Betty was born on March 5, 1930, in Brazil, Indiana the daughter of Alfred and Beulah (Cox) Craig. She graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1947. Betty married James Archer on October 31, 1947; he preceded her in death in 2014. She worked for Dr. Pell as a dental assistant for several years. Betty and Jim moved to Indianapolis in 1965 and worked for Western Electric (now AT and T) for many years. After retiring Betty and Jim moved back to Brazil. Together, they enjoyed traveling, square dancing, playing cards, and going to the casino. Betty also enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Beulah Craig; husband James Archer; a grandson Chad McPheeters; and 3 brothers: Leverett Craig, Wendell Craig, and Wayne Craig.

She is survived by two daughters: Brenda Williams and husband Dale of Indianapolis and Susie McPheeters of Brazil; grandchildren: Jeremy Williams and Lori Williams; two great-granddaughters Kelsea Williams and Kayla Williams; two beloved pets Lexi and Baby Doll; as well as several extended family members.
