Sue Jones

October 1, 1948  -  August 26, 2022

Lillian Sue Jones, 73, passed away August 26, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Sue was born to the late Clint and Lillian Elizabeth Whitaker Morlan on October 1, 1948.
Sue graduated from Van Buren High School in 1966, a proud member of the VB Chicks of 66. On July 25, 1970, Sue married the love of her life, David Jones. She was a lifelong member of First Christian Church and the Loyal Berean Class. Sue worked a few jobs, and was co-founder, and later owner of Paper Works. Sue loved being a stay-at-home mom. She was the primary babysitter of her four grandchildren. She was very crafty, and in her younger years she enjoyed taking care of her vegetable garden. Sue loved flowers, and working in her flower beds. Family and friends were very important to Sue, she loved attending her grandkids sporting events and activities.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, newborn daughter, Beth Jones, grandson, Colton Jones, sisters, Roxy Whitaker and Nancy White.
Sue is survived by her husband, David Jones, children, Jason Jones (Andrea), and Sarah Jones, grandchildren, Gavin, Devin, and Ashlyn, siblings, Betty Shoemaker, Sondra Burris, Ted Whitaker, and Robin Reckerd, as well as many extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741, The Marfan Foundation, 22 Manhasset Avenue Port Washington, NY 11050, or a charity of choice.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, September 15th at 2 P.M. at First Christian Church, 1875 US-40, Brazil, IN 47834. Visitation will be held from 11 A.M. until the time of service.
