Ron Modesitt

Ronald “Ron” Modesitt, 61, passed away September 6, 2022. Ron was born to the late Donald and Esther Modesitt on September 4, 1961.

Ron was a longtime member of First Christian Church and belonged to the Special Angel Class. He enjoyed his donuts and coffee, he truly enjoyed visiting with the people at church, one of his favorite things to do at church was to joke around with the Special Angel teachers. Ron lived in a group home with his brother-in-law Roy Jones, as well as Terry and Earl through Community Connections until he went to the nursing home in July of 2021. Ron loved going on field trips, shopping, movies and going out to eat. He never wanted to spend his money! Ron really loved his family time especially Thanksgiving and Christmas! In the summer he loved going to the Special Olympics and going to camp. Ron loved riding in the boat and fishing.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, as well as one brother, Wayne Modesitt.

Ron is survived by his brother Bill Modesitt, and sister, Jan Osborn and husband Mike Osborn, as well as many extended family members.

A graveside service will be held Monday, September 12th at 11 A.M. at Calcutta Cemetery, 14797 North County Road 200 East, Carbon, Indiana 47837.
