Lee Harrison

January 3, 1940  -  September 15, 2022

Walter “Lee” Harrison Sr., 82, passed away September 15, 2022 at Cloverleaf Healthcare. Lee was born to the late Fred Harrison and Lillian Carpenter on January 3, 1940.

Lee graduated from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis. Lee served in the United States Army. Lee worked as a correctional officer at Indiana Boys School up until his retirement in 1995. After retirement he worked as a security guard at AMAX Coalmine until they relocated. Lee was a huge IU Basketball fan, when there was a ballgame on you did not talk or interrupt his attention. He also enjoyed watching Indianapolis Colts football games and NASCAR races. Lee loved Eagles and even collected them.

Lee is survived by his daughter, Pamela Nees-Hutcheson (Jay), grandchildren, Brian Perdue Jr., Ashley Gwinn (Steven), Chris Nees (Samantha), Dana Nash (Greg), and Seth and Brody Harrison, great grandchildren, Teagan, Cameron, Conner, and Kaydence Perdue, Jessekay and Austin Jones, Cheyanne Miller, Bentlee McDonald, and Brynlee and Annalese Nees.

Lee is preceded in death by his ex wife, Sharon Strauch, son, Walter Harrison Jr., as well as his sister, Mary Alice Rank.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
