Jerry Gardner

Jerry Lee Gardner, 53, passed away October 4, 2022 at his residence in Clay City, Indiana. Jerry was born to Kenneth and Doris (Cox) Gardner on September 1, 1969 in Linton, Indiana.

Jerry graduated from Owen Valley Community High School in 1987. Jerry worked in the construction business for many years. He was a very talented wood worker. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, and hunting mushrooms and ginseng.

Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Gardner, and a brother, Thomas Gardner.

Jerry is survived by his mother, Doris Gardner of Coal City, siblings, Cheryl Hodapp (Mike) of Seymour, Kevin Gardner, of Clay City, Jim Gardner, of Coal City, Patricia Brewer (Bill) of Bedford, and Jeffrey Gardner (Liz) of Coal City, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friendly Grove Baptist Church, 10520 South County Road 550 West, Lewis, Indiana 47858 or a charity of your choice.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 11th from 11 A.M. until the time of service at 11:30 A.M. at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 East 8th Street in Clay City. Interment will take place at Beech Cemetery at a later date.
