David Stephens

David Stephens, 59, passed peacefully into glory Oct. 6, 2022, at his home, with his family by his side.

He was born June 18, 1963, to the late Jerry and Pat Stephens. On June 16, 1988, he married the love of his life, Cathleen Jo Cripe. They were married 34 years.

David was a real estate appraiser for 20 years at Venture One Appraisals with his father-in-law, Richard Cripe. He loved Purdue sports, music, gardening and his dog, Hazel.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Stephens; cherished daughter, Nicole; brother Loren (Teresa) Stephens of Waynetown; sister Tammy (Clay) Willmore of Spring Hill, Tennessee; step-mother Donna Stephens of Crawfordsville; mother-in-law Diana Cripe of Lafayette; sisters-in-law, Cindy (Dean) Tillema of DeMotte, Indiana and Charlene (Charles) Turner of Portland, Maine; one niece; seven nephews; and 14 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 15 at Fremont Street Baptist Church, 1908 Fremont St., Crawfordsville. A celebration of life will begin at noon with Pastor Dan Aldrich officiating. The family would like to thank Holly and Kylee at Southern Care Hospice for their care of David.
