Thomas James Butts, 60, of Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 in Indianapolis.

Thomas was born in Danville, Illinois on December 4, 1961, the son of Donald J. and Lieselotte (Jurgens) Butts.

Tom worked his entire life as a diesel Mechanic, and for more than a decade he worked for Dave Tomasch Incorporated (DTI).

Survivors include his wife Monica (Bright) Butts, Greencastle; his two children, Leeah (Butts) Vasquez, (Jason Wojcicki), Griffith; and Thomas Butts, (Megan Vandeventer), Brazil; a sister, Lisa Lane, South Carolina; a grandson, Sylas Vasquez, Griffith; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Andrew J. Butts; and his father and mother-in-law, Gary and Darlene (Cline) Biddle.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Pastor Pat Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Tom's memory to the donors choice.
