Barbara DeHart

Barbara Sue DeHart, 69, passed away October 14, 2022 in Terre Haute, Indiana. Barbara was born to the late Lester “Buck” Harper and Lucille (Barr) Harper on May 9, 1953.
Barbara worked in corrections for several years, as well as the Attorney Generals Office. She enjoyed playing bingo in her free time. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Barbara was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she loved sharing the love of Christ.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, James DeHart, her parents, Buck and Lucille, one grandson, Pierson DeHart, brother, Curt Harper, and one niece and one nephew.
Barbara is survived by her children, Scott DeHart of Terre Haute, Ryan (Libby) DeHart of Terre Haute, and Chris (Melissa) DeHart of Brazil, seven grandchildren, Zachary Duggins, Rylee DeHart, Mason DeHart, Lucas DeHart, Ethan DeHart, Tori DeHart, and Addi DeHart, one brother, Brad (Linda) Harper, and a sister, Linda Patterson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 19th from 11-1 at French Funeral Home, 421 East National Avenue in Brazil. A funeral service will begin at 1 P.M. Burial will follow at Highland Lawn Cemetery.
