Sue Ellen Compton Weger "Lady", age 77, of Terre Haute, Indiana was called home by our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. She gained her wings surrounded by her children and family in her home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Schwab and Wayne Compton; her husband, Donald "Pete" Weger; her daughter, Melody Steven Parker; granddaughter, Cathy Rana Kearshner; her brother, Wayne "Pic" Compton; and her sisters: Bonnie England, Jeri Gilland and Kay Jones.

She is also survived by her brothers, Jack Dersch and Gary Dersch (Cindy); 17 grandchildren; her many great-grandchildren; and one great, great-granddaughter.

Sue loved her family and was loved by many. She enjoyed spending time with her large family, loved children, enjoyed bingo, Bunko, and long rides in the country. A highlight of her earlier life was her marriage to Donald on March 9th, 1973. She was a hard worker in her years at The Tulip Company and the Vigo County School Corporation. If you knew her, then you knew to call her "Lady".

The family of Sue would like to give the Hospice of the Wabash Valley, Jody Pomfret, Mandy Fleener, Wendy Foster, and Ric May a special thank you to the dedication and care that they provided Lady.

Visitation will be held at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home on Monday 24, 2022 from 11am -1pm. Service will begin at 1pm.

A graveside service will follow at Bethesda Cemetery in West Terre Haute.
