Susan Gayle Daugherty

Susan Gayle (Green) Daugherty, 80, of Peoria, Arizona, passed away at Ambiance Care Home, in Peoria, AZ on October 23, 2022.

 

Susan was born on December 29, 1941, in Greencastle, Indiana the daughter of Lloyd and Vivian Mary (Shelburn) Green. She graduated from Brazil High School. Susan married Joe Daugherty on November 12, 1960. While living in Brazil, Indiana, she worked in accounting for the General Telephone, Hancor, and Brazil Trucking Incorporated. Following retirement, she and Joe moved to Branson, Missouri where she worked for Bobby Vinton’s Blue Velvet Theatre. They move to Utah where she worked at an assisted living facility. She has called Peoria, Arizona her home for more than 25 years. There, she worked at National Auto Mart and retired at the age of 70.

 

Susan was an Arizona Cardinals fan and a huge Larry Bird fan. Susan and Joe had season tickets during his era at ISU and saved every program, news clipping, and article about him.

 

Susan enjoyed painting, writing, working Sudoku puzzles, and collecting antiques. She was very giving and loved her family dearly.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Vivian Green, a daughter Cynthia Suzanne Daugherty, and a granddaughter Halie Marie Hite.

 

Susan leaves behind her husband Joe Daugherty; 3 daughters: Pam Hite and husband Tony, Lori Coscarelli and husband Ernie, and Jennifer Daugherty; grandchildren: Michael Stuckey and wife Katie, Matthew Stuckey and wife Carissa, Jacob Hite and wife Raven, Jessica Coscarelli and wife Denise, Alex Coscarelli, Anthony Coscarelli, and Hunter Daugherty; great-grandchildren: Lainey Stuckey, Brynlee Clarke, Camden Clarke, Adrielle Stuckey, Deklen Stuckey, Tinsley Lemont, Jackson Hite, Kai Coscarelli, and Vincent Coscarelli; a sister Jerrie Green as well as a host of extended family members.

Private services will be held at Clearview Cemetery at a later date.
