Vicki Sue Nevins

Vicki Sue Nevins, 66, of Brazil, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on October 29, 2022.

Vicki was born on October 14, 1956, to James and Pat (Chapman) Cass. Vicki worked many years as a C.N.A. at McCanell Manor, Clay County Health Center, Southwood Health Care Centers, and most Exceptional Living Center.

Vicki was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Vicki enjoyed being around family and friends. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking Turkey Run State Park, football, NASCAR, Fourth of July, and family get-togethers. Most importantly she enjoyed her “Sister Day’s” time with her sisters and going to Holiday World with her family.

In addition to her parents, Vicki was preceded in death by her son Derek Nevins.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years David E. Nevins; 3 children: James Cass (Robyn) of Marshall, Illinois, Amy Sue Heading (Jeremy), and Patricia Kay Shelley (Robert); grandchildren: Nakisha, Ayssia, Dakota, Kylie, Michael, Tyler, Jami and Joey; great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Ryan, Deja, Kingston, Princeton, Arianna, Ava, Blakely, and Zoe; sisters: Janet Wells (Dan), Kathy Targett, Lori Cass, Tina Lovett, and Marla Smiley as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834 on Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Services will follow. Burial will be held at Sink Cemetery, in Clay City.
