Max Youngblood

Max Elmer Youngblood, 87, passed away November 18, 2022 in Terre Haute, Indiana. Max was born to the late Elmer and Florine (Mormons) Youngblood on February 27, 1935 in Brazil.

Max graduated from Brazil High School in 1953. On June 12, 1954 Max married the love of his life, Nancy McShanog. Max was a dedicated farmer. Max was born on the farm, and continued farming up into his early 80’s.

Max is preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Sarah and Jennifer Youngblood, two sisters, Bonnie Jensen and her husband Arthur and Evelyn Reckerd and her husband Tom, and a son in law, Frank Anslinger.

Max is survived by his wife, Nancy, six children, Betsy Hargis (Bob), Cindy Anslinger, Lucy Smith (Eldon), Patsy Woolery (Rick), Mindy Youngblood, and Andy Youngblood, 19 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, two sisters, Judy Nalibroski (Ron) and Marilyn Stallcop (Bill), as well as several extended family members.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 23rd from 11 A.M. until 2 P.M. at French Funeral Home, 421 East National Avenue in Brazil. A funeral service, officiated by Richard McShanog will begin at 2 P.M. Burial will follow at St. Johns Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida, 33607 or any other children’s hospital.
