Max Richard Fulmer

Max Richard Fulmer, age 103, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023.

Max was born in Defiance County, Ohio on October 28, 1919 to Alphonso and Helen (Castor) Fulmer.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Fulmer; his four daughters: Barbara Fulton (Tom), Margaret Pinegar (Jim), Jennifer Freije (Tom), and Peggy Howard (Larry); 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

Max was a proud WWII Navy Veteran serving as an aviation machinist. After retiring as a postmaster of Brazil, IN., he became a beloved school bus driver for the Vigo County School Corporation. Max enjoyed traveling, loved serving in his church, playing golf, and was very involved with his family. Max had been an active member in the Gideons International, the American Legion Post 104, and The National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Everyone that knew Max loved him. He will be truly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 58 years, Maxine Doty Fulmer; 1 great-great-grandchild; along with his sister and his two brothers.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Roselawn Funeral Home from 11am-1pm. A Funeral Ceremony will begin at 1pm.

A graveside service with Military Honors will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, where he will be laid to rest next to Maxine.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in his honor be made to the charity of your choice.
