Greencastle and South Putnam advanced to Saturday's 2A sectional semifinal at Greencastle with Thursday quarterfinal wins.

Greencastle eliminated North Putnam in three games, 25-20, 25-19, 25-15. 

North Putnam ended its season with a record of 15-12.

The Tiger Cubs (14-15) will play in the 1 pm 2A Sectional 44 semifinal against conference and county rival South Putnam.  The Eagles (12-15) advanced with a three game win over Parke Heritage, 25-23, 25-23, 25-18.

In two meetings separated by ten days Greencastle defeated South Putnam twice.

On September 10, Greencastle defeated the Eagles 2-1.  Then, on September 20, Greencastle won again, 3-1.

The 11 am semifinal at Greencastle on Saturday has Southmont (13-14) playing Riverton Parke (20-8).
