Virginia Kay Coltharp

Virginia Kay Coltharp, 77, of Brazil, passed away peacefully with her family by her side in her residence
On Thursday, August 5, 2021. She was born on May 2, 1944 in Brazil, the daughter of Roy and Mildred (Coleman) Hardesty.
Virginia was raised in Carbon and graduated from Van Buren High School in 1962. Later she married the love of her life, James A. Coltharp II on May 24, 1964. Later she worked for Brazil IGA in the deli department. She also was a dietician aide for the former Holly Hill Health Care in Brazil. Virginia enjoyed crocheting, going to yard sales, working crossword puzzles, drinking her black coffee and listening to Elvis Presley.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mildred Hardesty; 2 brothers, John and Fred Hardesty; a sister, Susie Martin; a son, Duane T. Coltharp; and a grandson, Dane S. Coltharp.
Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, James A. Coltharp; 2 sons, Dean P. Coltharp and wife, Tina; and Douglas A. Coltharp; and a daughter, Denise S. Coltharp all of Brazil; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation and services are private. Burial will be in Summit Lawn Cemetery. Lawson-Miller Chapel and Crematory, 1702 E. National Ave. are in charge of arrangements.
