John C. Archer, 66, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 in his residence with his family by his side. He was born on January 18, 1955 in Brazil, the son of Norman and Elizabeth Rose (McGowen) Archer.
John attended Brazil High School graduating in 1976. He enjoyed deer hunting with a shotgun and bow, camping and going to the casino. He loved spending time with his family.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Elizabeth Archer.
Survivors include his loving wife of 21 years, Cheryl (Debney) Archer; brother, Norman “Gene” Archer and wife, Carol; a sister, Vicki Donnenhoffer and husband, James; a step-daughter, Melissa Hall and husband, Jermaine; grandchildren, Damien Wilcox and fiancé, Chelsea Michael, Azariah Lewis, Athaiah Lewis, Merayah Cunningham; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 11, 2021 in French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave. with Mary Jo Archer officiating. Burial will be in Bee Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home.
