Robert A. Cook, 95, of Crawfordsville went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021.

He was born May 31, 1926, at Darlington, to Arthur and Bessie Cook.

He attended Darlington schools. He served our country in World War II in the US Army Air Corps from 1944-1946. He then went on to graduate from Wabash College class of 1950. He retired from RR Donnellys and went on to work for the Crawfordsville Public Library for many years until officially retiring to care for his wife.

He married the love of his life Nancy on May 27, 1951. She survives. During that 70 years of marriage they shared their love of traveling, animals and God. He was a member of the First Baptist Church for over 70 years.

They had four children, Roberta Labenz of Gladwin, Michigan, Catherine Vinocur of Arizona, Allen (Paul) Cook of Ramona, California, and Tina (Jovito) Valle of Darlington.

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Ronald Venezia Jr. of California, Sarah (Eric) Szalkowski of Howell, Michigan, Joshua (Amanda) Labenz of Holly, Michigan, Samantha (Adam) Sperry of Crawfordsville, Rachael Venezia of Utah, Matthew Labenz of Michigan, Andrew Labenz of Redwood City, California, Doriann Vinocur of California, Maxamillion Vinocur of California, Courtney (Doug) Haggard of Greenwood, Oliver Valle of Indianapolis and Eli Valle of Tennessee; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Preceding him in death were his parents, sister Dorothy Cook and grandson Perry Arthur Surface.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Isaac Zull officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North. Military rites will be provided by Byron Cox Post 72 Honor Guard and the
US Army.

A dinner for the family will be provided after the service by First Baptist Church.
