Brian Todd Schopmeyer

May 15, 1963 - October 27, 2021

Heaven welcomed a very special angel when Brian Todd Schopmeyer, 58, of Cory, Indiana, passed away on October 27, 2021.

Brian was born in Brazil, Indiana on May 15, 1963, the son of Michael and Suellen (Collins) Schopmeyer. Brian attended school in Clay County where he earned a certificate of completion. He was a member of Ashboro United Methodist Church where he enjoyed lighting the candles before the worship service. Brian enjoyed life to the fullest and was always involved with his family. He treated everyone with love and kindness. Brian was active in 4-H for many years. He especially loved showing sheep at the fair. One of Brian’s favorite activities was participating in Special Olympics through Happiness Bag. He competed in basketball, volleyball, and bowling. Brian loved riding alongside Joe in their red truck and working on arts and crafts.

He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Suellen Schopmeyer; a sister Connie Black, and grandparents.

Brian is survived by his brother Joe Schopmeyer of Cory, and sisters Joyce (Greg) Fuqua of Terre Haute, Lori (Craig) Modesitt of Cory, and Kimberly Phillips of Florida; nieces Whitney (Charlie) Burger of California and Jacquie (Rob) Hungerbuhler of Georgia; nephews Brigham Phillips of Pennsylvania, and Tyler (Kayla) Harrison of Indianapolis; two great-nieces and three great-nephews, and aunts and uncles along with several cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, November 21st at 2:30 p.m. in the Center Point United Methodist Church.
