Marcia D. Mixon passed away Oct. 23, 2021, in Alamogordo, New Mexico, from COVID-19.
She was born April 11, 1951, at Crawfordsville, to Sue Morris Shahan and Robert Morris. She was a 1969 graduate of Crawfordsville High School and a 1973 graduate of Ball State University.
On Jan. 30, 1974, she married Jim Mixon, they had a son James (Rachael) as well as step-daughters, Kathie, Mona and Cindy.
Siblings are Kathy (Dennis) Wagner, Rick Morris, Cindy (David) Demoret, Mike (Janet) Morris, Michele (Dennis) Perry, Mark Morris and Lisa Morris. She had 12 grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Marcia was preceded in death by mother and step-father, Sue and Butch Shahan; father and step-mother, Bob and Mary Morris; sisters Cindy Demoret and Lisa Morris; and step-daughter Mona.
Marcia was a member of the First Baptist Church, Crawfordsville and the First Baptist Church of Carrizozo, New Mexico.
Cremation was chosen and a celebration of life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations would be welcome to the First Baptist Church of Carrizozo, New Mexico 88301. There will be no funeral service.
