Clyde Larry Ogborn
April 26, 1939 - January 3, 2022
Clyde Larry Ogborn, 82, of Centerpoint, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2022 with his family by his side.
Clyde was born on April 26, 1939, in the home he lived in his whole life, the son of Albert and Alma M. (Hofmann) Ogborn.
He graduated from Bowling Green High School with the class of 1957. Clyde worked as a farmer all of his life. He also worked maintenance for Great Dane Trailers for 26 years. He was a member of the Brazil First Church of the Nazarene and more recently attended World Gospel Church, in Terre Haute. Clyde enjoyed going on walks, tractor rides, Sunday drives with his family, communicating his faith in Jesus, and sharing his love of farming and nature with others.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Alma Ogborn. He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Ben Ogborn, Clarence Ogborn, Sam Ogborn, Charles Ogborn, John Ogborn, and Lucy Mosteller.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mildred Eileen (Parksey) Ogborn; children: Tammy Hobbs and husband David of Mansfield, Illinois, Terry Skaggs and wife Heather of Centerpoint, Brad Ogborn and wife Evie of Centerpoint, and Charles Ogborn and wife Heather of Centerpoint; grandchildren: Jeannette Webb (Adam), Travis Hull (Jessica), Rochelle Skaggs, Tiara Skaggs (Tristan), Meghan Myers (Paiden), Gabriel Skaggs, Lou Ogborn, Ansel Ogborn, Clay Ogborn, Hannah Ogborn, Hailey Ogborn, Landon Ogborn; a great-granddaughter Rosalynd Nave; a sister Grace Truitt; as well as many extended family members and friends.
Graveside services will be at Bee Ridge Cemetery, on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Steve Brattain officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
