Martha Ann Moody

MARCH 22, 1932 – FEBRUARY 5, 2022

Martha Ann Moody, age 89, of Brazil, Indiana passed away at her home, with her family by her side, on Saturday, February 5, 2022.

She was born March 22, 1932 to Vernon Dyer and Mae Dyer Muraski in Terre Haute.

Martha was a member of the East Side Christian Church in Brazil. She worked at various jobs, but found her dream job as the Staunton Elementary School secretary. Her position there made her a "mom of many", nurse to all, receptionist, and secretary to some wonderful principals. Martha retired from her position after 28 years. Martha enjoyed traveling with family yearly to the Gulf Shores and Navarre Beach areas.

She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Jack. L Moody; her children:Jack (Beth) Moody, Dan (Nancy) Moody, Ron (Kris) Moody. Grandchildren: Brian (Carrie) Somheil, Amy (Trey) Minett, Eric (Lacey) Moody, Doug (Kristy) Moody, Lisa Moody, Brent Moody, E.C. (Misty) Moody. Step grandchildren: Morgan, Meghan and Cami Bass. Great grandchildren: Brason, Gracie, Grant, Porter, Noah, Ryker, Brogan, Bella, Lola, Emma, Charlie, Brenlee, Jack, and Reagan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Earl Moody, and her brother, Wayne Dyer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 12- 2 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home.. Service will begin at 2 pm with Pastor Bill Brock officiating. Martha will be laid to rest next to her son at Roselawn Memorial Park.
