Ervin Eugene Waller
NOVEMBER 9, 1947 – FEBRUARY 9, 2022
Ervin Eugene Waller, 74, of West Terre Haute, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 surrounded by his favorite girls. He was born on November 9, 1947, in Terre Haute to Ervin Marshall and Dorothy Avril (Brown) Waller.
Ervin is survived by his daughters, Jeannie Richey of West Terre Haute and Joannie Dersch and husband Jack of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Austin Richey, Tamarah Fugate, Aaron Richey, Tanner Fugate, Ariel Richey, Kari Dersch, A.J. Dersch, and Macey Cork; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Addisyn, Oakleigh, and Brynnlee; sisters, Dorothy Gross and Melinda Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley Waller; brothers, Marshall Waller and Carl Waller; and sisters, Luella Smith and Mary Lewis.
Ervin served in the United States Marine Corps in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Riley American Legion. A hard worker all of his life, Ervin retired from the maintenance department at Gartland Foundry. He loved to woodwork, go fishing, and watch wrestling. His daughters and grandchildren were the light of his life. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Ervin will be laid to rest at a later date in Roselawn Memorial Park.
