James Lee Scott

MARCH 12, 1945 – FEBRUARY 18, 2022

James Lee Scott, 76, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 surrounded by his family.

Born March 12, 1945 in Clinton, IN, he was the son of James Scott and Vera (Ellis) Scott Dixon and was a graduate of West Vigo High School. He married Lana (Fehrmann) Scott on August 6, 1966.

Jim was a veteran having served in the United States Navy.

He worked over 31 years at GTE, retiring as a facility maintainer. After his retirement he worked 14 years at Endeavor in Cloverdale.

Jim was a member of Our Shepherds Lutheran Church, Avon and had formerly attended Peace Lutheran Church, Greencastle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Twyla Antrim and infants Betty Ann & Sandra Darlene Scott; and brother Richard Scott.

Jim was a loving, caring husband, dad & Papa. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Lana Scott; daughter Terri Scott; grandchildren Kaitlin (Nick) Tuminella & Kylee Scott; great grandchildren, Colton & Nicky Tuminella; a son Michael B. (Melissa) Scott; grandchildren Jennifer, Allison, & Kelly Scott; and sister Bonnie (Walter) Scott Wright.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to share a special thanks to all of the wonderful caregivers that were there for Jim and the family.
