Lois Elaine Underwood

Lois Elaine Underwood, 97, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Meadow Lakes in Moorsville.
Lois was born in Pineville, Kentucky on May 07, 1924, the daughter of George W. and Erma (Hanville) Harrison, and was a 1942 graduate of Versailles High School.
Mrs. Underwood worked as a librarian at DePauw University for 24 years until her retirement in 1987. Lois was a member of Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church, and an active Tri Kappa member for 55 years where she also served as President. She was a loud and proud Purdue Fan.
Survivors include her two children, Tara Flint (Larry), Vevay, and Ted Underwood, Plainfield; four grandchildren, Kimberly Duncan, (Steve), Suzanne Sheets, (Brian), Krista Petrilli, and Cory Underwood; six great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; a beloved sister-in-law, Janet Cooper; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, Karol L. Underwood; and a sister Carol Clemons.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Bryan Langdoc officiating. A luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the church prior to services on Saturday, all are welcome to attend before service.
