Linda B. Latham

January 11, 1937 - March 5, 2022

Linda Belle Latham, 85, of Brazil, passed away March 5, 2022, at 12:13am at Cloverleaf Healthcare, with her loving husband and family at her side. She was born January 11, 1937, in Clay County, the daughter of John “Jack” Flockhart and Jane Eleanor Conway Flockhart. She graduated from Brazil High School.

On December 11, 1954, she was united in marriage to William R. Latham. They raised their family in Clay County and had a life full of love and adventures. They have been members of the Union United Methodist Church since the 1970” s. Linda played the piano at church and was active in youth group activities.

Linda’s work career began at Meridian Elementary School as a secretary. She continued working for the Clay Community School System until her retirement from Northview High School. At home, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, working puzzles and she made special Christmas candy to share. A special memory for Linda was traveling with Bill to Alaska with their fifth wheel camper. They, in fact, traveled throughout the 50 states.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Janet Esterline.

Survivors include her devoted husband Bill Latham of Brazil; their children, Cheryl Latham, Gail Williams (Doug), all of Brazil, and Chris Latham (Rita) of Greencastle; grandchildren, Matt Love, Mitchell Love (Rowan), Megan Vencel (Anthony), Brant Williams, Kendra Latham (Tyler Ryan), Nick Latham (Olivia); great-grandchildren, Ava, Brody, Gavin, Zayden, and Paxtin; and other extended family members.

Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Union Cemetery, C/O Greg Linton, 8205 N. Co. Rd. 300E, Brazil, IN. 47834.
