Harold Alan Moore

January 12, 1949 - March 12, 2022

Harold Alan Moore, 73, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, March 12, 2022, with his family by his side, while staying at Union Hospital.

Harold was born on January 12, 1949, in Clay County, Indiana, the son of Harold Arthur and Carolyn (Hutcheson) Moore. Harold worked as a welder for J.I. Case for 18 years. After retiring from J.I. Case he worked for the Indiana State Prison system at Putnamville and Rockville, PDF, and Jones Welding in Terre Haute.

When he wasn’t working, Harold enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, and enjoying nature. He also was an avid Cub’s fan and enjoyed spending time with his grandsons Keaton and Karson.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Carolyn Moore and his wife Cindy Moore.

Harold is survived by his two children: Ronnie Moore and Allison Butts and husband Phillip; grandsons: Keaton Butts and Karson Butts; siblings: Fred Moore and wife Brenda, Bonnie Perkins and husband Mike, Janet Marlow, David Moore, and Frank Moore and wife Julie as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana, 47834, on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 4-8pm. Services will be held at the funeral home, on Thursday, at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
