Lori King Nelson

Lori King Nelson, 59, of Jamestown, died Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

Lori was born Aug. 22, 1962, at Indianapolis, a daughter of the late Ronald King and Mary (Beth) Easley. She married Robert Nelson on Nov. 29, 1984. He survives.

Lori graduated from Carmel High School. She worked as a physical therapist at various locations, including Witham Hospital, Western Boone schools and nursing homes in Crawfordsville. Lori truly loved her job, especially working for First Steps, where her work with babies brought her so much joy. She also enjoyed gardening, watching movies and listening and playing to music.

Survivors include her loving husband of 37 years, Robert Nelson of Jamestown; daughter Christina Glendenning of Fishers; grandson Tucker Frye; mother Mary B. Easley (Thomas Easley); and siblings, Todd King, Debra Gastineau, Angie Snipes and Jill McFarland.

Lori was preceded in death by her children, Samantha Diane Nelson on May 4, 2020 and Clayton Patrick Nelson on April 12, 2014.

Family and friends will gather Monday, April 11 for visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lori’s memory may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
