Joan Gentry

November 18, 1931 - June 23, 2022

Joan Gentry, 90, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away on June 23, 2022 in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Joan was born on November 18, 1931, in Brazil, Indiana the daughter of Wayne and Inez (Hayes) Robison. She graduated from Staunton High School and worked at Columbia Records as well as various other clerical jobs. When she wasn’t working, Joan enjoyed going of long drives, traveling, eating out, and spending time with friends and family. Joan was a longtime member of the Brazil Church of the Nazarene.

Joan is survived by her sons Gary W. Gentry and wife Pamela and Michael E. Gentry and wife Kimberly; a daughter Rhonda Brown and husband Bruce; grandchildren: Adam Gentry (Valerie), Lucas Gentry (Elizabeth), Dustin Gentry (Jessica), Eric Gentry, Joshua Brown (Amanda), and Brandi Smith (Brandon); great grandchildren: Caleb, Elijah, Kyan, Bailey, Colton, Mason, Nora, Ally Jo, and Reid; a sister-in-law Brenda Robison; as well as several extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jack Robison and sister Jane Albright (Curt).

Services for Joan will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home, on Monday, from noon until time of services.
