May Fern McManigal, 82, of Roachdale passed away June 30, 2022 at her residence.

She was born Nov. 11, 1939, to the late Charles and Laura (Collins) Stranger. She was first married to Fred Kimerling, and then married Art McManigal. They both preceded her in death.

May worked as a CNA at Ladoga Golden Manor, Heartland and Danville Regional Healthcare. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, word search games and her family. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children, Kathy (Joe) Benge, Laura Bixler, Debbie Hoskins and Jay (Nikki) Kimerling; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Linda Sue Price and Waunita Dishman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; three brothers, Robert Stranger, Rex Stranger and Ellis Stranger; and two sisters, Janice Sprague and Sarah Hunt.
