Sandi Goebel

July 26, 1941  -  August 16, 2022

Sandi Goebel, 81, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.

Born in Chicago, IL July 26, 1941 to Elsie Mellon.

Sandi was a die hard Cubs and Notre Dame fan and long time Colts fan. She loved watching college football. You didn’t dare call her when Jeopardy was on. She played cards for years with her best friends, “the girls”. As often as possible she was with her Michigan family. Her devotion to the Catholic Church had her calling Bingo at Kennedy’s Crossing for Annunciation Church for many fun filled years. She served as the secretary for Annunciation for many with Father Spicuzza and assisted with the transition after his passing.

Sandi is survived by her children, Rita Totzke, Greg Short, Barbara Short, Michael Short, Theresa (Dave) Keller, Nancy Short, Diane (Darrell) Moss, Walter (Tara) Goebel

Grandchildren: Jamie, Doug & Denise Smith, Mason Short, Providence & Natalie Trigg, Noah, Hailey & Max Short, Veronica Vance, Regan Keller, Victoria Winn, Samantha Moss, Nathan, Abigail & Jacob Goebel

Great Grandchildren: Raelyn Power, Kinsley & Addison Vance, Anthony Flores

Sandi is preceded in death by her mother and husbands Jim Short, deceased 1978 and Walt Goebel, deceased 1997 and granddaughter Angelica Trigg.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Heart of the Nation Catholic Mass.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Annunciation Catholic Church with Father Hollowell officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4:00-7:00pm at French Funeral Home with Rosary at 7:00pm.
